Tulsa County Celebrates Armed Forces Day

Posted: Updated:
TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa County is saluting all branches of the military.

Soldiers past and present showed up at Chandler Park Saturday to celebrate Armed Forces Day.

Military vehicles were on display, as well as a vintage car show.

A band was also on hand to entertain the crowd.

The event is a way for family and friends to honor active reserves and veterans.

"The loyalty that vets carry around with them, it's probably the biggest fraternity you'll ever see in life, because once you're a vet, you're always a vet," said Air Force veteran Lew Broughton.

The event was organized by Tulsa County Parks and Park Friends.
