The No. 25 ranked Oklahoma Sooners downed Baylor 7-2 Saturday to advance to the Big 12 Championship game.

The win was the third straight for OU in the tournament and now the Sooners face Missouri Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.

After four innings of play, Oklahoma built up a 4-0 lead thanks to two homers by Matt Oberste that brought in three runs and a career-best 7.2 innings by Jonathan Gray.

Sooners completed a 5-0 sweep of No. 3 Baylor on Saturday with a convincing 7-2 victory to advance to the Big 12 Championship game on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Back-to-back doubles in the second by Jack Mayfield and Caleb Bushyhead gave Oklahoma a 1-0 lead. Oberste's third home run of the year, this time to left, brought in Bushyhead for a 3-0 OU advantage by the end of the frame.

In the third, Gray gave up his first hit and the Bears almost got on the board behind two singles, but OU's Cody Reine gunned down a runner at the plate to end the threat.

Oberste went long again in the fourth with a solo shot that landed all the way in the parking garage behind the ballpark.

Baylor also went long in the fourth as Josh Ludy leadoff the bottom of the inning with a solo homer of his own.

Oklahoma quickly extended its lead in the top of the fifth. Erik Ross connected on a triple, and Max White's two-run double along with an RBI single by Evan Mistich gave the Sooners a 7-1 advantage.

The Bears other run came in the eighth when Ludy singled to center to bring in another run making it 7-2.

"I thought our guys played really well," said OU Head Coach Sunny Golloway. "The tournament so far, for us, has definitely been a grind with two walk-offs and I thought that the way we came out today and played real aggressive early on helped big Jon [Gray]. And Oberste, being in the lineup, he had a big day for us. The two balls leaving the yard early on were big for us."

Gray is now 8-4 on the year allowing six hits in 7.2 innings while striking out six.

The Bears starter Joey Hainsfurther (2-1) lasted just 3 1/3 innings and gave up four runs off four hits and four walks.

Oklahoma (38-21) is playing for their first conference title since 1997.
