Tulsa County Deputy Dies Nearly A Month After Accident

A Tulsa County deputy passed away Friday from an injury she suffered from an accident in her home more than three weeks ago.

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said Deputy Laura Nieves was hospitalized May 6, 2012. She succumbed to her injuries Friday.

The mother of two had served with the TCSO for nearly five years and was married to another deputy.

She was 35 years old.
