A north Tulsa home sustained about $80,000 in damages due to an overnight fire. It happened in the 300 block of North Rosedale at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

The house had been remodeled in the past, making it very difficult for firefighters to gain access to parts of the home, according to Tulsa Fire Department District Chief Andy Teeter.

Additional crews were called to the scene to help out.

Teeter said his crews arrived to heavy smoke and flames. A search showed that no one was home, although the house did appear to be occupied. Flames spread to the attic before the fire could be extinguished.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to the district chief.
