Trial Postponed For Yukon Couple Accused Of Child Abuse

A judge has decided to postpone the trial for a Yukon couple accused of child abuse and neglect.

John and Sonja Kluth were scheduled to stand trial on Monday. A new trial date is not available at this time.

The two are facing a number of charges for allegedly abusing their three adopted children.

Canadian County officials say the couple burned, beat, and cut the children, and locked them in an underground storm shelter.

The two also allegedly fed the children dog and cat food.

The abuse was discovered when one of the boys was found sleeping in a box behind a restaurant.
