A Tulsa group is offering rides Saturday and Sunday in an airplane that was used to train pilots during World War II.

The Spirit of Tulsa Commemorative Air Force Squadron has been restoring the PT-19 for 9 years.

Squadron officials say they will be offering 20-minute rides around the Tulsa area for $85.

The squadron flies the airplane out of Jones Riverside Airport in Jenks.

Money raised by the flights will help the squadron maintain the historic aircraft and restore an L-3 light airplane used by forward spotters for Army artillery units during World War II.
