A Broken Arrow man who pleaded guilty earlier this year to consumer fraud in Oklahoma and paid $91,000 in restitution is facing some trouble in the state of Missouri.

According to a St. Louis television station, James Jenkins, 40, is under investigation by the Missouri Attorney General's office over distribution rights promised to St. Louis firefighters of a beef stick product.

The firefighters say Jenkins promised them distribution rights around St. Louis, but after taking the money, stopped sending them the product.

In March 2011, James Jenkins was charged in Oklahoma after he was arrested for allegedly scamming more than $75,000 from some Oklahoma hunters.

In February 2012, Jenkins was charged by the Oklahoma Attorney General's office for deceptive trade practices in violation of the state's Consumer Protection Act.

He pleaded guilty and received a five-year deferred sentence and probation.

Now the Missouri AG's office says Jenkins has been ordered to show proof his business is non-profit as he has claimed.

In addition, a Texas investor has filed a motion in Tulsa County District Court alleging fraud and asking a judge to stop Jenkins from collecting money on the sale of beef sticks in Oklahoma it says belongs to them.

The investor is also seeking repayment of more than $250,000.

A hearing on that motion is set for June 15, 2012.
