The former CEO of Cherokee Nation Businesses LLC, David Stewart, has been appointed by Osage Nation Principal Chief John D. Red Eagle to the Osage LLC board of directors.

Red Eagle also appointed tribal member Jim Parris to the same board.

"Both of these gentlemen bring a great deal of knowledge to this organization," Red Eagle said. "Their prior experience in working with tribal entities will be very beneficial, and we are very pleased with their decision to join the Osage LLC Board."

Stewart spent more than 10 years as the CEO of Cherokee Nation Businesses LCC before parting ways in March 2012.

In a new release, Red Eagle says Stewart grew gaming revenues for CNB from $75 million to $500 million. In addition, he led negotiations with the State of Oklahoma to bring a Gaming Compact allowing Class III gaming.

Parris, a CPA, has owned and operated his own accounting business in Rio Rancho, New Mexico since 2001.

The Osage LLC was formed in 2008 to manage the Osage Nation's business activities separate from the affairs of the tribal government.
