TULSA, Oklahoma - Tulsa Police arrested a 12-year-old boy for stealing an SUV Friday after an officer spotted him run a stop sign on Fifth Street shortly before 8:30 a.m.

When the officer finally pulled over the SUV in the 2400 block of East Fifth Street, the boy exited the SUV and was placed under arrest.

Tulsa Police said the boy told officers he was at the owner's home Thursday night and took the SUV's keys. He returned to the home early Friday and took the SUV before being stopped by the police officer.

The boy was arrested on complaints of larceny of vehicle and eluding.

He was to the Tulsa County juvenile detention center.
