CLAREMORE, Oklahoma -

Rogers County Courthouse business was put on hold Tuesday afternoon after a blown transformer filled the building with smoke and forced an evacuation.

The incident occurred about 2 p.m., and there were no injuries, according to Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton.

Election activities were not affected. The Rogers County Election Board is in an annex and is still operating.

It is unclear whether the building will be reopened Wednesday, Walton said.
