The candidates in the U.S. House race for the 2nd District are headed for a run-off on both the Republican and Democrat side.

No candidate in either race got over 50% of the vote, so the two candidates with the most votes in both races will go to a run-off election.

Republicans Markwayne Mullin, who got about 42% of the vote Tuesday, and George Faught, who got about 23%, will go up against each other again.

And in the Democratic primary, Rob Wallace go up against Wayne Herriman in the run-off.

Three Democrats and six Republicans were vying for the Congressional seat now held by Democrat Dan Boren, who did not run for re-election.

District 2 is the only Congressional seat in Oklahoma currently held by a Democrat, and is a traditionally Democratic seat.
