Downtown Tulsa's Brady Arts District celebrated a new neighbor on Wednesday.

What was once an empty lot at Archer and Boston is being transformed into the Hardesty Arts Center.

The 42,000-square-foot facility will be the arts hub for the community—a place where Tulsans can come to express themselves.

Before they're lifted into place Thursday, donors and artists signed the final beams with signatures, words of inspiration, and hand paintings.

Ken Busby, Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa said, "All the way from the ballpark to the BOK Center, there's just a great synergy for downtown right now, and we just love being a part of it."

The Hardesty Arts Center is set to open in December.
