The U.S. House of Representatives voted to Thursday to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress.

An oversight committee wants Holder to release all documents dealing with the botched gun smuggling operation that led to the death of an American border agent.

President Obama has invoked executive privilege to prevent those documents from being released.

The resolution passed the House with a 255 to 67 vote.

Two Republican Oklahoma Congressmen said they voted for the resolution.

U.S. Representative John Sullivan, from Oklahoma's first district, released a statement Thursday.

"Attorney General has left Congress no other choice than to hold him in contempt for stonewalling, misleading and outright lying to the American people about his role in operation Fast and Furious. Holder has blatantly refused to provide answers to Congress or accountability to the American people – he even had the audacity to ignore a congressional subpoena," said Sullivan. "The evidence of an Administration cover-up continues to multiply, and the American public deserves answers. It's our job to find them, and if we have to force the Administration's hand in a court of law to get them, we will."

U.S. Representative Frank Lucas, Oklahoma district 3, said his choice was clear.

"Because of Attorney General Eric Holder's actions, it was necessary for the House to pass this resolution to hold him in contempt of Congress," said Lucas. "It is important that the truth is revealed in the ongoing investigation of the failed "Fast and Furious" operation, and it is my hope the Attorney General will come forward with the relevant information being requested by Chairman Issa and the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform."
