OKLAHOMA CITY -

Attorney General Scott Pruitt has named a new director of the Oklahoma Office of Civil Rights Enforcement.

Assistant Attorney General Daniel Weitman will serve as director of the new enforcement office, which will investigate claims of civil rights violations and enforce Oklahoma's anti-discrimination statutes. Weitman has worked for the attorney's general's office in its litigation unit since 2005.

The new office will initially include Weitman and three investigators.

Beginning on Monday, Oklahomans who want to report a civil rights violation call or email the attorney general's office or submit a complaint form online
