TULSA, Oklahoma -

Editor's note: Moving day for News On 6 is coming at the end of the year, so we have to inventory everything in our old building. That includes thousands of old stories. We'll share the best of what we find here on NewsOn6.com.

Anything for a good cause, right? In 1981, Tulsa participated in the Bedlam 500, where teams raced beds through downtown Tulsa.

A good-sized crowd of people came out to watch as teams from businesses like J.C. Penney and Heritage House raced to raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy.

KOTV reporter Winifred Washington tells us some beds reached speeds of 15 m.p.h.

And some of the short shorts the guys were wearing? We'll let you decide by watching our latest From The KOTV Vault video.
