New Oklahoma Law Moves Some Sex Offenders From Homes, Into Tents

OKLAHOMA CITY -

Some Oklahoma sex offenders are out on the streets because of a new law that took effect Sunday, July 1, 2012 in Oklahoma.

The law limits the number of sex offenders that can live in a dwelling. That has led to dozens of men camped out in tents on the Hand Up Ministries property in Southeast Oklahoma City.

The men had been living together in mobile homes, three to a trailer. The new law, however limits the number of sex offenders per dwelling to one.

To check the sex offender registry in your Oklahoma county, go to this web site, and choose your county in the drop-down menu.
