Oklahoma State kicker Quinn Sharp was named to the preseason watch list for the Lou Groza Award today. The award is given annually to the top placekicker in college football.

Sharp was a first-team All-American and the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year last season. Sharp was named an All-American as both a punter and a kicker. Sharp could become the second Cowboy to win the Groza Award in three seasons. Current Dallas Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey won the award as an OSU player in 2010.

Sharp's All-American honors as both kicker and punter make him just the third player to earn All-American honors from the Football Writers Association of America at two different positions. USC running back/return man Reggie Bush and Utah kicker/punter were the other two.

A semifinalist for the Groza Award a year ago, Sharp has led the country in touchbacks on kickoffs the past three seasons. He also led all kickers by scoring 11.5 points per game. He also ranked seventh in the nation with a .880 percentage on field goals.
