Tulsa's McCoil Named To Nagurski Watch List

Tulsa University safety Dexter McCoil was named to the 2012 Bronko Nagurski Watch List Thursday. The award is presented annually by the Charlotte Touchdown Club to the nation's best defensive player. The recipient is selected by the All-America Committee of the Football Writers Association of America.

McCoil was a second team All-Big 12 performer for the Golden Hurricane last season when he finished third on the team in tackles with 84. McCoil also led the team in interceptions with six, one of which he returned for a touchdown.

McCoil also had seven pass breakups in 2011.

The award will be presented at the Bronko Nagurski Trophy Banquet in Charlotte, N.C. on Dec. 3, 2012
