Glory Johnson had the best game of her young career but it wasn't enough to lift the Shock to victory on Thursday.

The Shock fell to the Minnesota Lynx 89-74 despite a stellar 30-point, 14-rebound performance by Johnson, a rookie from Tennessee.

But Johnson wasn't the only player with an outstanding performance at the Target Center in Minneapolis. Former UConn and current Lynx star Maya Moore scored 28 points but exploded for a franchise record 19 points in the second quarter to break a 31-31 tie and put Minnesota on a 24-7 run to take a 55-38 halftime lead.

Johnson scored in double figures for a third-straight game and it was her second game with 10-plus rebounds. She also shot 14-for-15 from the free-throw line, a season best for the Shock.

However, Johnson was on a shot list of positives for Tulsa on Thursday.

Temeka Johnson was ejected from the game with 5:24 remaining in the third quarter after tangling up with Minnesota's Seimone Augustus and getting called for her second technical foul. She picked up her first technical in the first half after colliding with Candice Wiggins on a rebound attempt. It got worse for Tulsa in the fourth quarter when Ivory Latta went down awkwardly while attempting to halt an opponent's drive in the lane. Latta had to be helped off the court and did not return. She was diagnosed later with a sprain.

Minnesota's Moore, Augustus and Lindsay Whalen -- the three Olympians -- combined for 53 points, 19 rebounds and 11 assists to pace the Lynx and help them improve to 15-4 on the year.

Tulsa fell to 3-15. Only Riquna Williams joined Johnson in double figures with 11. Roneeka Hodges scored nine. Latta was scoreless on 0-of-5 shooting before leaving with the injury.
