Kevin Durant was held out of the starting lineup for Thursday night's Team USA exhibition against the Dominican Republic. Instead of pouting about starting out on the bench, Durant did what he does best once he got in the game – he put on a scoring clinic.

Durant guided the U.S. to a blowout 113-59 victory against the Dominican Republic. He scored a game-high 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds but it was his first half that had people talking.

Durant came off the bench to score 21 first-half points, including 5-of-6 from the 3-point line.

Perhaps his most impressive highlight-reel moment came in the second half on a one-handed tomahawk slam off an alley-oop from Thunder teammate James Harden.

The other two parts of the Thunder trio – Russell Westbrook and James Harden – also contributed to the lopsided victory.

Harden scored eight points on 3-of-9 shooting and added two assists. Westbrook scored six points on 3-for-7 shooting with five rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The other Oklahoma connection, Clippers power forward Blake Griffin, was sent back to Los Angeles after reinjuring his left knee during a Team USA scrimmage and is scheduled to be evaluated by L.A. Clippers doctors. The former University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma Christian School star will miss the remainder of the U.S. Olympic schedule.
