Tim Torres hit an RBI single in the top of the eighth inning Sunday night to break a scoreless tie and lift the Tulsa Drillers to a 1-0 win over the Arkansas Travelers.

Brandon Hynick (2-0) struck out six in 7 2/3 innings of two-hit ball, lowering his ERA to 1.69.

Josh Sullivan entered to get the final out of the eighth, and nailed the door shut in the ninth to earn his 11th save of the season.

John Hellweg (4-9) took the hard-luck loss, allowing just the one run in his eight innings.

The two teams combined for just seven hits and the game took just two hours and 12 minutes.

The Drillers return home Monday to open up a four-game set with Springfield.
