North Tulsa Couple Charged, Warrant Issued After Baby Found In Street
TULSA, Oklahoma - Charges were filed against a couple who left their 11-month-old baby inside a car seat, face-down in the street in north Tulsa.
The incident happened last Saturday, July 7.
Myia Natrice Cole, 29, was arrested then she was charged with felony child neglect Monday. She is currently in a Tulsa County jail on a $25,000 bond.
The child's father, Clyde Rudy Jackson, 61, was also charged and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. Jackson's bond is set at $50,000.
Police responded to a residence in the 300 block of West 48th Street North last Saturday at about 9:30 p.m., after an infant was reported missing.
The parents of the child, Cole and Jackson, according to Cole's arrest report, were both so "highly intoxicated," they weren't able to give police any information on the whereabouts of the child.
Officers were able to locate a witness who told them that she had picked up Cole around the area of 5700 North Frankfort Avenue. The witness went with the officers to that location and they found the missing infant, still inside the car seat, face-down in the street.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Clyde Jackson can contact the Tulsa Police Department.
