Police say a man shot his 19-year-old son during a domestic incident Wednesday night.

It all happened in the 1500 block of North Phoenix Avenue just before 7 p.m.

Police say the young man was arguing with his mother when his father came home and got in the middle of it.

The fight between father and son moved to the front yard, while the mother stayed inside.

Police say that's when the father pulled a gun and shot the 19-year-old.

The man was shot at least twice, in the abdomen and the leg.

Captain Karen Tipler of the Tulsa Police Department said there was a three-year-old in the house, playing upstairs.

The man's father then fled the scene in a gray/silver Dodge quad cab pickup truck.

Capt. Tipler said she believes the man will eventually come back home or turn himself in. Until then, they are searching for the truck the man fled in.

"At some point he's coming home, because this is his castle," Capt. Tipler said.

The 19-year-old was treated by EMSA and taken by ambulance to a Tulsa hospital with serious injuries.
