It has been a very difficult week for the family of Wesley Brown.

The 58-year-old Tulsan was shopping at the Best Buy on Skelly Drive with his daughter last Saturday, when he was killed by a stray bullet.

But Thursday, after Tulsa Police made three arrests in connection with the case, the family wanted to say thank you to the police for their hard work and to the community for all of their support.

It was an emotional morning for the family of Wesley Brown.

"It's almost unbearable to think about life without Wesley," his mother, Marquetta Brown said.

Brown said her son was a devoted family man who treated everyone with kindness and respect.

His impact on the community is evident by the teal ribbons that line his neighborhood as a show of support from his friends and neighbors.

"We just think all of these people that have given us kind words and little acts of kindness—they've meant an awful lot to us," Brown said.

Thursday morning came the news the family had been waiting for: three people were arrested in connection with the shooting.

"Well, I jumped up and down and I was really happy, and I immediately called my mom and then I broke down sobbing," said Wesley Brown's step-daughter, Erin Harper.

Police said Willie Wise was the man who pulled the trigger and killed Scott Norman, in the parking lot, and Brown, inside the store.

They said Shania Craven was the getaway driver and, along with Jeremy Foster, helped Wise hide from investigators.

Police said they had no credible tips and it was only because of the hard work of several agencies, including the U.S. Marshals and the FBI, that they were able to find the people responsible.

Marquetta Brown said if Willie Wise is found guilty of the murder, she's already  forgiven him, but urges him to change his life.

"I hope he turns his life around. It's not too late for him," Brown said. "If he just accepts the Lord's help and he can go ahead and do something with his life.

The family said they will now continue to focus on Wesley Brown's 10-year-old daughter, who was with him at the time of his tragic death.

"She's such a loving little girl and she's just been very... Lots of hugs and kisses, lots of hugs and kisses," Harper said.

Wesley Brown's family said they can't thank Tulsa Police enough for their hard work.

Brown's funeral is this Saturday at Boston Avenue Methodist Church.

The family said anyone who would like to attend is welcome, and they ask everyone to wear teal in his honor.
