A man is taken to a Tulsa hospital after being shot in the leg in North Tulsa late Monday.

Tulsa Police tell News On 6, the victim was asking two men for change for a $20 at around 10:30 p.m.

Officers say the men thought the $20 was fake, and they got into a fight with the victim. During that struggle, the victim was shot in the leg and took off running.

He hopped a fence and eventually started banging on a door of a home on 63rd Street North. The homeowners let him in and called 911.

Tulsa Police say the victim is expected to be okay. A search for the shooter continues.
