'Justice For Kayla' Campaign Hosts Car And Bike Show Saturday

Family members of a slain Tulsa teenager continue their efforts to raise money for a reward leading to the capture of her killer.

Kayla Ferrante was killed as her boyfriend drove her home shortly after her graduation from Memorial High School. They were a few yards from her home when someone fired a shot at the car.

A bullet traveled through the license plate, trunk, the passenger's seat and exited the front windshield after striking Kayla in the chest.

There are two upcoming events scheduled so the public can help Kayla's family find justice.

Swain Brothers Racing is holding a bike and car show from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at 7743 E 38th Street H in Tulsa to raise money for a reward leading to the capture of her killer.

All cars and bikes are welcome to enter, and there will also be many show bikes and cars on display. Prizes will be given.

The event is kid and dog friendly. There will be free drinks, hotdogs and hamburgers.

Entry fee donation to enter a car or bike is $15.

On Saturday, August 4 go to the Rib Crib at 51st and Sheridan and the Sand Springs Rib Crib next to Wal-Mart. Present a flyer to the server, and Rib Crib will donate 10 percent of the same to the Kayla Ferrante Reward Fund.

Donors can also make checks payable to Crime Commission. In the check memo, designate it to the Kayla Ferrante reward.

The mailing address is 2121 S. Columbia, LL8 Tulsa, OK 74114. If an arrest is made but not through Crime Stoppers the reward funds collected in Kayla's name will be donated to the Memorial High School Special Needs fund.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS. Callers remain anonymous.
