The Grand River Dam Authority Police Department recovered the body of a missing boater Sunday afternoon on Grand Lake.

The body of Monte Lee Price of Jay was recovered in about 50 feet of water on Duck Creek, according to Justin Alberty with GRDA.

Price was one of four male passengers in a boat that collided with a breakwater structure near Arrowhead South at about 2 a.m.

He and two other passengers were thrown from the boat. Alberty confirmed that this information clarifies earlier reports stating all four passengers were thrown from the water craft.

Two other men were taken via helicopter to Tulsa hospitals, and the third was first transported to the Grove hospital and then to Tulsa. Their names and conditions were not released.

None of the passengers were wearing life jackets, according to the GRDA police.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
