Posted: Updated:
WASHITA COUNTY, Oklahoma -

An Arizona woman is in critical condition at an Oklahoma City hospital after a car accident in Washita County, Sunday afternoon.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 23-year-old Kaitlyn Reiker and her passenger 22-year-old Maria Frisone, both from Tempe, Arizona, were traveling eastbound on Interstate 40 in a 2005 Scion. Reiker began to change lanes and overcorrected back to the right when she noticed a car in her blind spot.

The vehicle departed the roadway to the right near mile marker 53 and flipped one half times, coming to rest on its top. Frisone was partially ejected through the sunroof and was pinned for approximately 30 minutes before being freed by rescuers.

Frisone was life-flighted to OU Medical Center where she is listed in critical condition. Reiker was taken to Integris Clinton Regional by ambulance. She was treated and released.

Reiker was wearing a seatbelt. Frisone was not.
