BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -

A motorcycle rider has died from injuries sustained in a crash in Broken Arrow Sunday evening.

Police say the crash at the intersection of Olive and Albany involved a pickup truck and a motorcycle.

Police say the woman driving the 1997 Chevrolet S-10 pickup was westbound and had stopped in the inside lane at a red light.  After the light turned green, police say she proceeded to drive through the intersection.

Broken Arrow Police say her pickup truck was then struck in the rear by a 2011 Can Am Spyder three-wheel motorcycle driven by a male adult.

The cyclist was taken to a Tulsa hospital where he later died of his injuries.  Police say he was not wearing a helmet when the crash happened.  The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.

The name of the cyclist was not released pending notification of next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation.
