EDMOND, Oklahoma -

A Creek County couple is burned when an RV exploded at Scissortail Park at Arcadia Lake Monday night.

Fire officials say the explosion was the result of a working meth lab.

According to officials, emergency crews responded to the incident at about 8:45 p.m. at 7015 E. 15th Street in Edmond.

They say 36-year-old Christina Martin from Mounds has third degree burns to about half of her body, and 43-year-old Owen Dandridge from Kellyville has severe burns to his face.

A witness said he saw Martin run from the burning RV screaming that she was badly burned and then smoke pouring from the vehicle.

Edmond police say Martin has an outstanding warrant, and Dandridge is a registered sex offender who has a history with drugs. She is wanted bail jumping and bogus checks, according to court records.

Dandridge was convicted of two counts of rape and two counts of forcible sodomy in Pawnee County in 1999.

"The suspects dumped the meth lab materials in the bushes and woods behind the RV," said Jenny Monroe, Edmond Police Department.

"If you walked through and kicked an active bottle it could result in an explosion and/or release of harmful gases."
