The American Cancer Society is launching a new long-term prevention study and they need 2,000 Oklahomans to participate.

The study will follow people for more than 20 years to help researchers understand how factors such as genetics, environment, and lifestyle play roles in causing or preventing cancer.

They're looking for 300,000 people from across the country and need them to come from diverse groups.

The study is open to people who are between 30 and 65 years old, and who have never been diagnosed with cancer.

On site enrollment is scheduled for September 9 through September 16, at eight locations throughout Tulsa. To schedule an appointment go to cancersturyOK.org or call toll free 1-888-604-5888.
