Some of Oklahoma's Own gave some Green County kids a back-to-school boost Wednesday

The New Heights Church in Owasso gave out free haircuts and immunizations, along with backpacks filled with school supplies as part of its "Back to School" mission.

The pastor said he understands how quickly the bills can add up.

"It's expensive, and when you're dealing with families that have multiple kids, it can get really expensive, and we're just trying to help families get started on the right foot," Pastor John-David Meissner said.

If you'd like to donate to the mission, you can drop off school supplies at 106 N. Main Street in Owasso.
