From The KOTV Vault: School Kids Compete In 'Computer Olympics' In 1984

The 1984 Summer Olympics, which were held in Los Angeles, were historic because of who wasn't there.  

The former Soviet Union and its allies boycotted the games, because the U.S. had boycotted the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow.

Students at Whitman Elementary School in Tulsa couldn't attend the games in Los Angeles, so they did the next best thing.  As Anita Parvin reported on April 18, 1984, they participated in the Computer Olympics.
