Drillers Fall In Extras

SPRINGFIELD, Missouri -

Jamie Romak hit a bases-loaded, walk-off single in the bottom of the tenth inning Friday night to give the Springfield Cardinals a 4-3 victory over the Tulsa Drillers.

Tulsa grabbed a 2-1 lead in the third when Mike Zuanich singled home Corey Dickerson and Jimmy Cesario.

The Drillers carried a 3-2 lead into the seventh inning, but Jose Garcia homered off of Tulsa's Tim Sexton to tie the game 3-3.

Keith Butler (4-0) earned the win for Springfield, while Michael Mabry (3-2) took the loss for Tulsa.

Tulsa has lost seven of its last nine games. The series in Springfield continues Saturday night at 6:08 p.m.
