Head coach Bob Stoops says senior wide receiver Justin Brown has joined the University of Oklahoma football roster.

Brown joins the team after spending three seasons at Penn State, where he was named third-team preseason All-Big Ten by Phil Steele's College Football Preview.

Brown played in 30 games for the Nittany Lions, making 73 receptions for 1,047 yards (14.9 yards per catch) with three touchdowns.

He's number 20 on Penn State's career receiving yardage list. He also returned 49 punts for 338 yards (averaging 6.9 yards per return) with a long of 33 yards.

"We are excited that Justin wants to finish his college career here at OU," Stoops said. "Justin started 11 games last season and was a productive performer on offense and special teams. We are confident that he can quickly integrate with our team. We're looking forward to the experience and maturity he will add to our receiving corps."

According to a news release from OU, Brown was the only Penn State player to have at least one catch in every game last year, ranking second on the squad with 35 catches for 517 yards (averaging 14.8 yards) with three touchdowns. He registered a career-long 69-yard touchdown reception in the TicketCity Bowl against Houston.

He led the team with 27 punt returns for 220 yards. His 33-yard punt returns vs. Purdue and at Wisconsin were the club's longest of the season, while his 737 all-purpose yards were the team's third-highest tally, according to the release.

He was part of 731 plays in 2011, the highest total of any Penn State wide receiver or running back.
