OSU's Jurick Suspended Indefinitely

Oklahoma State coach Travis Ford announced that senior center Philip Jurick has been suspended indefinitely from the men's basketball team.

Oklahoma State senior center Philip Jurick has been suspended indefinitely for violation of team policy, it was announced on Tuesday by men's basketball coach Travis Ford.

The suspension is immediate and Jurick will not travel with the team when it departs for a 10-day exhibition tour to Spain on Wednesday. A final decision on his status will be made when more information is obtained.

Jurick was arrested on Saturday and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia

Jurick played in 27 games, starting 16, for the Cowboys last season after transferring from Chattanooga State. The 6-foot-11 big man averaged 1.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.
