WAGONER COUNTY, Oklahoma -

A Broken Arrow woman, who police say was under the influence when she crashed her vehicle into a tree and rolled it with six teenagers inside, has been charged in Wagoner County court.

Heidi Fain, 47, was charged on Thursday with one count of DUI with great bodily injury and six counts of child endangerment by DUI. The single-vehicle wreck took place July 12, just before 11 p.m. near 61st Street and 197th East Avenue.

Investigators said three of the teens were not injured, but the other three were not wearing seat belts and were thrown from the 2007 Honda Pilot. They were hospitalized, including one who was transported in critical condition. One child, the collision report said, was ejected through the back window and came to rest in a culvert.

According to the collision report by BA police, Fain's vehicle left 151 feet of post-impact scrape marks.

The evening of the crash, Broken Arrow Police Sgt. Ed Ferguson said: "At this point we're trying to contact the parents of all these kids to try to make sure we can get them returned home safely."

According to court documents, Fain's 15-year-old child was one of the crash victims. The other teens are all 15 and 16 years of age.

According to an arrest report, Fain claimed she was driving about 60 mph and hit a dip in the road, which caused her to lose control of the vehicle before the steering failed, she reportedly said.

The posted speed limit along the area of the collision is 35 mph.

When asked about alcohol consumption, Fain said she had a couple of beers about two hours before driving, the report said.

According to police, Fain was administered a line test, with which she struggled, and she was given a portable breath test, which tested positive for alcohol.

After Fain was arrested, she agreed to take a breath test at the jail, but failed to provide enough breath volume for it to register, the arrest report said. Jail officials drew blood to determine the alcohol level. Stephanie Milburn, the assistant district attorney handling the case, said on Friday the results of the blood test have not been received yet.

Fain was released on $153,500 bond in July.
