The Danny Manning era is officially underway for Tulsa. Manning's Golden Hurricane blew right through Brock University Wednesday night in Ontario, Canada.

The victory over Brock marks the first game in a four-game Canadian exhibition tour for Tulsa.

Sophomore Rashad Smith led the way for TU with 22 points and nine boards, while senior Scottie Haralson poured in 18 points including four 3-pointers.

This contest was never close as Tulsa shot out of the gate and took a 41-22 lead into halftime. The one-sided play continued into the second half and culminated in the 46-point victory.

Manning said while he enjoyed some aspects of his team's performance, there is plenty of work that needs to get done.

"I thought we did some things pretty well. I thought we played with good effort for the most part," Manning said. "We still made too many mental mistakes. We need to clean those up. We have to do a better job of rebounding the basketball, and also sharing the ball. It was our first game. We have a lot we can learn from this, and hopefully continue to build. Overall, I think the guys played well."

TU continues its trip through Canada Thursday night in Toronto against Ryerson University at 6 p.m. CT.
