Shock Lose Late To Silver Stars

The WNBA has resumed after taking an Olympic break so the league's stars could compete. Unfortunately for the Tulsa Shock, that means it's back to reality.

The Shock gave it a good go Friday night, but the result was the same as they fell to the San Antonio Silver Stars 89-79, falling to 3-15 on the season.

Riquna Williams led the Shock with 17 points off the bench. Roneeka Hodges had 16 and Glory Johnson added 15 for Tulsa.

Sophia Young led San Antonio with 20 points, while Becky Hammon and former OU Sooner Danielle Robinson scored 15 points each. Jia Perkins also chipped in 17 for the Silver Stars.

After being outscored by 14 in the first quarter, Tulsa battled back to take a one-point lead at the end of the third quarter, but San Antonio outscored the Shock by 11 in the fourth to secure the victory.

The Shock begin a two-game road trip Sunday at 6:00 p.m. in Minnesota.
