New Downtown Devon Tower Nearing Completion

Posted: Updated:
OKLAHOMA CITY -

We're only two months away from the dedication of the Devon Tower in downtown.

It may look finished on the outside, but a spokesman for Devon says there's still a lot of work going on inside the skyscraper. Most of the unfinished work is on the top five floors, including the Vast restaurant on floors 49 and 50, according to spokesman Chip Minty.

Devon is planning a dedication ceremony October 23. The Vast restaurant will open October 24 and is already taking dining reservations.

In March, Devon employees began moving into the lower levels of the tower.

It's been nearly four years since Devon Chairman Larry Nichols revealed the concept of the 50-story tower.

"We wanted a building that would embrace the city, that would have lots of public features," Nichols said.
