Bixby Resident Wins News On 6's Best Summer Ever Contest

TULSA, Oklahoma -

Congratulations to Cristy Morgan of Bixby. She won the 2013 Ford Escape on Six in the Morning Thursday in our Best Summer Ever contest.

We gave away five prizes each weekday, each valued at $100, for nine weeks over the summer. Each daily prize winner also received a key that made them eligible to win the Grand Prize, a new 2013 Ford Escape provided by the Oklahoma Ford Dealers.

We used a random number generator to pick five finalists which included Cristy as well as

Patrice Bellis of Sand Springs, Nick Alberty from Tahlequah, Carolyn Higdon of Claremore and Terry Sisco who is also from Tahlequah.

Thursday morning, Cristy picked the winning key.

She is a Kindergarten Assistant at Bixby North Elementary.  Winning brought both Cristy and her son Shaun to tears, since they didn't have working air conditioning in their old car.
