Tulsa Police say an 18-year-old man burglarized a relative Sunday morning. When he was arrested, his brother shot at the victims.

Darrian Carter was arrested at 7:15 a.m. Sunday on burglary complaints, according to Tulsa Police Captain Karen Tipler. Carter was taken into custody in the 1300 block of East 52nd Street North after witnesses called police.

"It appears that the suspect was related to the victim in one of those burglaries," Tipler said.

Then at 11 a.m., Carter's brother went to the same area and found the burglary victims sitting in a parked car outside the residence. He opened fire on the vehicle, according to police.

"This was in retaliation for his brother being arrested for the burglaries," Tipler said.

No one was injured in the shooting.

The brother, whose name was not released, was still at large Sunday night. Darrian Carter is being held on a $40,000 bond for one complaint of first degree burglary and one complaint of attempted first degree burglary.
