TAMPA, Florida -

A speech by Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin at the GOP convention on Tuesday evening is still on the agenda.

The GOP trimmed the convention in Tampa by a day down to three days because of the threat from Tropical Storm Isaac.

Governor Fallin will give her speech to the delegates Tuesday evening.

A Fallin aide says the governor is scheduled to speak sometime in the 7 to 8 p.m. (CST) time slot on Tuesday.

Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett is also scheduled to speak on Tuesday.  Party officials announced Monday that Cornett is expected to address the convention at about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Cornett is currently the president of the national Republican Mayors and Local Officials organization and is serving his third term as mayor of the state's largest city.

The convention started Monday, but was immediately put into recess until Tuesday. The convention runs through August 30th.
