Shock Charges Back For Fifth Victory

Tulsa dominated the third quarter to spark a comeback victory for the Shock on Tuesday in Atlanta.

After winning just three times in its first 21 games, the Tulsa Shock has now won two of its past three after upending the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday night.

Roneeka Hodges led Tulsa with 20 points, including 4-of-8 from the 3-point line, to lead the Shock to a comeback 84-80 win on the road – Tulsa's first road win of the year.

Tulsa trailed by nine at the end of the first quarter and by seven at the break before completely taking over the third quarter. The Shock started the third on a 12-4 run and ended the quarter on a 9-0 spurt to outscore the Dream 23-11 in the third and maintained a slim lead the rest of the way.

Temeka Johnson also played a key role in the Shock's fifth victory 17 points, six assists and four rebounds. Ivory Latta dropped 14 points and chipped in three assists and four boards.

Glory Johnson was astat-sheet stuff on Tuesday with 10 points, eight rebounds, five steals, three blocks and an assist in the win.

Erika de Souza led the Dream with 16 points as they fell to 12-13 on the year.

The Shock return to Tulsa for a Thursday tilt with Los Angeles at 7 p.m.
