The Rosa Parks Early Childhood Education Center has been so popular, Union Public Schools broke ground Wednesday on an expansion.
Union has partnered with the Community Action Project to provide early learning opportunities for under-privileged pre-schoolers.
By the time the children are old enough for Kindergarten, they're set up for success.
"They will be socially comfortable, their language will be developed, their curiosity about learning, their approach to literacy will be well in tune, well established," said Union Schools Superintendent Dr. Cathy Burden.
The expansion adds eight more classrooms to the 12 they have already have.
Construction should be finished in the spring or fall of the next school year.
