A 12-year-old Cache girl was hospitalized after she was struck by a car in Comanche County. Lileeanna Kay Shreffler was flown to OU Medical Center Friday evening in critical condition, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers say Shreffler was one of two juveniles standing in a ditch on the south side of Cache Road near NW 197th in Comanche County just before 6 p.m.

An Indiahoma woman, 37-year-old Amy Victoria Goad, was eastbound on Cache Road when Shreffler walked in front of her Oldsmobile Regency, the trooper states in his report.

Goad swerved left but was unable to avoid striking Shreffler. The child was taken by ambulance to Comanche County Memorial Hospital then taken to OU Medical Center by medical helicopter. Shreffler sustained head, trunk, arm and leg injuries, according to the OHP report.

The cause of the collision is listed as pedestrian action. Goal was in apparently normal condition at the time of the wreck. She was uninjured.
