TULSA, Oklahoma -

Two people on a motorcycle were taken to a Tulsa hospital early Wednesday after the bike hit a metal plate sticking out of the pavement.

Tulsa Police said the crash happened at 12:30 a.m. on Cincinnati Avenue, just south of 13th Street.

Police say the plate is part of the infrastructure of the roadway.  Both the driver and a female passenger were thrown from the motorcycle.

Police said both are expected to be OK.
