The number of West Nile Virus cases in Oklahoma jumped even higher Thursday when the state health department reported an additional five cases.
According to the new numbers, there are 123 cases of West Nile in the state. That's up from Tuesday's report of 118. It's the highest number of cases recorded in a single year in Oklahoma.

So far, seven Oklahomans have died from the disease. The deaths occurred in Oklahoma, Tulsa, Carter, and Seminole counties.
Oklahoma, Tulsa, and Carter counties have the highest number of West Nile cases.
