EDMOND, Oklahoma -

A man was killed after he was shot in the head and chest at an Edmond home Sunday afternoon.

Officers responded to the incident at a home located in the 1500 block of Louis Scott Street in Edmond.

According to police, two men and a woman got into a fight at the home. One of the men, who police say is the woman's husband, reportedly went out to his car to get a knife, that's when the other man pulled out a gun, a .40 caliber Springfield automatic, and shot him three times.

The victim was shot in the head and chest, police said. The other man and the woman are not injured.

Police say the victim and his wife were separated, but he still had keys to the house.

Investigators say they have recovered the knife and gun. They are investigating the case as a home invasion at this time.
