Police arrested 18-year-old Jevontai Ingram Tuesday for destruction of property. This, after he was just recently released from jail.

Ingram was convicted of murder after he and Antwun Parker robbed Reliable Pharmacy in May 2009. Former pharmacist Jerome Ersland shot and killed Parker. Ersland was convicted in 2011 of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.

Ingram pleaded guilty to murder for his role in Parker's death. Because he was a youthful offender, he was released earlier this month when he turned 18. At the time, his attorney told News 9 Ingram planned to go to college and become a probation officer.

Police were called to Ingram's home on September 12. His mother told police Ingram and his brother were arguing over girls when Ingram became angry. She said Ingram went to her car, kicked out the back and front windshields, and then stomped on the hood and roof of the vehicle.

The car sustained significant damage, according to the police report.

Ingram left the scene before police arrived. He was arrested Tuesday, September 18, on a complaint of destruction of property. News 9 spoke to Ingram's mother. She said she dropped the charges against her son.
